In this chapter Yahweh surprises us as He describes how He views the city of Jerusalem to the exiles in Babylon, who see Jerusalem as being the delight of their eyes. And, though Yahweh tells them that He is about to destroy Jerusalem, He then informs the exiles that He will see that Jerusalem is restored to its former glory, and then some.
