This Sunday, being one week after Pentecost as well as Trinity Sunday, we are hearing a modernised reading of the C16 English Reformers on the Holy Spirit. Of note is how the reformers addressed the issue of the role that the Holy Spirit plays, or does not play, in those who move ahead of the teachings of Christ and the truth of God’s Word.
