One way that we can hurt is by removing the safety guards that have been put there by a manufacturer to protect us from getting hurt. Unfortunately there were some teachers in Philippi who had added to the message of salvation by adding their own laws. Their actions meant that they had already brought themselves harm and were threatening to harm those who chose to take on board their teachings.
