Today we see the baton of leadership over God’s people being passed on from Moses to Joshua, and we see how this had to do with God’s faithful servant Moses failing to honour God’s holiness by choosing to ignore God’s command. What this reveals is that none of us are ever too old or experienced to think that we can ignore God’s words to us.
