Bible Text: Genesis 3 (NIV) | Preacher: Allan Bate | Series: Bible Overview | The Coronavirus may have hit but our Bible Overview series continues. This week the Shalom of last week is destroyed when humanity chooses to not trust God and His words, but to, instead, follow their own evil desires by trusting the words of the Serpent. Humanity’s disobedience and their rejection of God’s authority means that God must carry out His promised punishment of ‘death’. And yet, despite our disobedience, God promised to raise up a descendant of Eve who would destroy the Serpent, along with the Serpent’s ability to accuse and condemn humanity regarding their sin.
