Having assured and encouraged the Thessalonians, regarding the trials they were facing, Paul, Silas and Timothy now encourage the Christians in Thessalonica to stand firm. To show their trust and respect for them, Paul, Silas and Timothy ask the Thessalonian believers to pray for them, as the preached the Word and as they faced opposition.
