When Jesus, the Son of King David, came riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, we are reminded of when two of David’s sons made their bids for David’s throne. For one came riding in on a chariot with 50 soldiers, whereas the other came riding in on his dad’s mule. For one made his bid to scare those who would oppose his rule, whereas the other came showing that he had come to his people in peace.
