Again Paul prepares Timothy to take over from him when he dies. This week Paul encourages Timothy to guard the ‘good deposit’ which he had received from Paul, and entrust it to people who would ensure that this ‘good deposit’ would be passed on to future generations. This then leaves us with a challenge to consider how we are guarding this same ‘good deposit’ and how we are entrusting it to ‘reliable people’ so that the truth may continue to be taught faithfully in and to the generations that come after us.
