In this final talk in our series we see Jesus face a third temptation in the wilderness. In this test the devil tempts Jesus to take a shortcut in becoming king. This short cut would, potentially, mean less suffering for Himself and for His people. All Jesus had to do was to drop down and worship the devil. But could the devil be trusted? And what would it mean for Satan, God’s adversary, to have authority over Jesus, if Jesus did fall down and worship him?
