In this, the ‘second of the signs’, we look at the need for those, who were familiar with Jesus, to see Jesus continually performing signs in order that they might continue to believe in Him. This then raises an interesting question for us, in that, now that we have come to know Jesus, and the miracle of his death and resurrection for our forgiveness, do we need to see Jesus continuing to perform signs for us so that we might continue to believe in him. To help us answer this question, let’s take a look at the dad in this story whose son was healed by Jesus.
